Nothing says spring time like this annual showcase.
Every year at the de Young, you can see this exhibit.
I went for the first time during the week of April 5th - April 10th, 2016.

"Bouquets to Art"

This was its 32nd year!
125 Bay Area floral designers showcased their alive and impermanent designs
amongst de Young's very permanent collection.
Each arrangement told the story of its surroundings.
Inspiration was all around.

If you live in the Bay Area, purchase a Duel Membership.
It is 150$ for 2 people, and fully tax deductible!
There was an Oscar De La Renta exhibit going on at the same time and it is about 15$ per visit.
So buying the membership gave another reason to keep coming.

Here are also the highlights of doing so:

Unlimited free admission for one member and a guest to the permanent collections and most special exhibitions
at the de Young and the Legion of Honor

Invitations to special members-only events and viewing hours

Priority ticketing for special exhibitions

Discounts at the de Young and Legion of Honor Museum Stores

Free subscription Fine Arts member magazine and e-News

Discounts on museum audio tours, ticketed special events, films, and lectures

Get there early
We arrived at about 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday
It is nice to look at a piece, and not have a crowd around.
The crowd started forming around noon..
and Everyone was drinking wine by 11 a.m. at the beautiful cafe.
Those art folks.. heh heh ;)

Park on the street
Garage parking was expensive as expected

Take notes, per photo
More of a personal side note, but I would of really liked to mentioned the
Florists who made those masterpieces above.

See You Next Time!
